To meet the information needs of the Commission and various interested individuals and organisations, the National Commission for Women formally inaugurated and started its own Library on 27th May, 1994. It has now evolved as a defacto Resource Centre for Research Scholars / Activists with a collection of nearly Twenty three hundred books covering different issues relating to women's advancement.

Besides, the library collection includes important reference books, like Encyclopedias, Directories of NGO's as well as the complete set of Halsbury's Laws of England ( 4th Edition ).

The library is open from 9.00 A.M to 5.00 P.M. on all working days for consultation by Research Scholars. It subscribes 25 daily newspapers in different languages and 35 periodicals / professional journals . The library has a regular system of documenting newspaper clippings on women's issues.

NCW publishes its own books from time to time. It also sponsors research studies on various aspects concerning women issues and helps in getting them published . Nearly hundred publications, both in English and Hindi, have so far been published.

The commission regularly brings out a monthly newsletter Rashtra Mahila in Hindi and English.
